Women’s hockey Canada claims 3rd straight Olympic golds with 2-0 win over Americans

Why is this? This is because a full swing is more likely to make something happen for your team. A harder swing will naturally get the ball beyond the half swing.

One exception of course would be if you want to volunteer foul it off, which is a strategy adopted by elite players.

Adjust your game accordingly. If you go with full swing, you can increase your chances of success by adjusting your play accordingly. For example, if you do with a fast pitcher, you can position yourself farther away from the hill it gives you more time to react on the pitch.
