LG BL40 Given For FCC Approval

Recently, it was reported that the LG BL40 Chocolate was given FCC approval and the model number BL40 was officially confirmed. However, at the time of approval this phone nicknamed New Chocolate did not posses 3G banding. Now, a variant of the phone called BL40G has hit the FCC with 3G enabled on the 850 and 1900 MHz bands. Engadget reports that LG currently doesn’t have any plans to launch the device in the US. It was stated earlier that 3G will be enabled in the handset when it will be launched by Canada’s Telus. The LG BL40G is expected to aid Telus start the ball rolling on its forthcoming HSPA network launch. The LG BL40G will probably possess the same features as the LG BL40 such as 21:9 resolution, S-Class user interface, WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth capabiltiy, FM transmitter and 1000mAh Li-Ion battery.When this version of the New Chocolate is going to launch on Telus is not yet known. The price of the phone too is unavailable.
