Guidelines To Restore Chipped Granite Worktops

These tiles are the epitome of long-lasting beauty and luster. You do not have to work hard to achieve their maintenance. They are not easily damaged but are cracks or chips because of minor negligence. You can reset these chips with the following strategy.

Firstly, clean the chipped area with a soft sponge. Dip the sponge in solution of warm water and soap. Wipe the surface thoroughly to remove dirt and grease to get divorced from granite worktops.

Let the surface dry completely. Keep the area untouched for at least an hour. There should be a single trace of water or cleaner on its surface.

Now cover the broken area with masking tape. Do not forget to use the area near the surface chipped.

Wearing gloves and prepare a paste of epoxy resin and a hardener. These components must be mixed in a desired quantity. Therefore, you should read the instructions on the cover to know the concentration of resin.

Now apply the mixture on the chipped area. Spread the mixture evenly by using a tongue depressor. You can remove excess adhesive from tile with the help of a razor blade.

Allow epoxy resin to dry. It may take several hours. Avoid the use of granite worktrops during the repair process.

And finally, apply a layer of sealant on the tabletop. It will enhance shine and shimmer of natural stone.

Thus you will be able to recreate life in the granite worktop without much monetary investment.
