Recruitment process in IT sector

Recruitment refers to the process of selecting a person for a particular job. It is a process to find a right man at the right time for a proper job. It is a process of screening and selection of a qualified person for a job in an organization or enterprise. It is divided into two types: internal recruitment process and external recruitment process. "Internal recruitment is the process of selecting the employees within the organization. Moreover, external recruitment, selection of employees outside the organization.


Recruitment and selection is the main function of the human resource department. Every organization has a trained HR department team to help the company in their recruitment and selection process. It is the duty of the human resource department to select the right person for the right job. A general recruitment process is as follows:
1) Identification of vacancies: the first and the foremost step of the recruiting department is to find vacancies in an organization or enterprise.
2) Prepare job description: After identifying a job or job the department has to draw up job profiles and their descriptions to find a right person at a right time for a proper job.
3) Advertise the vacancy through a proper media: As the company complete their job profile details, it is time to advertise the vacancies in their job profile and description of the best and popular medium for advertising.
4) Handling of the answer: As the advertisement is finished it has to be ready with their reply to applicants for this job.
5) Arrange interviews: Now is the time comes when the company pre-selected candidates and arrange interviews for those shortlisted candidates.
6) Conducting interviews and decision making: And finally, the company conducts the interview of these shortlisted candidates, and election shall take a decision accordingly.
