How to Build the Perfect Golf Swing

There is no doubt that golf swing is a relatively complicated mechanical action that requires a specific sequence of movements to create a dynamic impact position.

One of the top swing fault is' paralysis by analysis "which destroys the natural flow of the swing.

I think the worst, that a golfer can do is to buy golf magazines and instructional books with the intent to get the club in three or four positions in the back swing and three or four positions in the downturn.

The Golf Swing is intended as a natural motion. It should be a lovely floating free-flowing movement from start to finish.

With this in mind let us begin with the five steps necessary to create the perfect golf swing;

1st Develop a pre shot routine, a prerequisite shot routine is the sequence of events that occur just after you have chosen club from your bag to the moment just before you start your backswing. You have to develop a consistent pre-shot routine, designed to keep you relaxed and focused when you start your golf swing.

I recommend you start by putting your golf club behind the ball and visualize a line running through the center of your club through the ball and dissect the target.

Make sure you place the club behind the ball with the hand furthest away from the goal and be open to the target when you square the club. It is easier to adjust the club square to the target by standing in an open position.

When you are satisfied that your club is perpendicular to the goal, set up your position, hips and shoulders perpendicular to the goal line, ensuring the entire time that the original club head alignment is maintained.

Next put your other hand on the handle and maintain light grip pressure by giving your club head a couple of waggles.

2nd Start a sleek one-piece takeaway Be aware that your arms and club head forms a natural triangle ie. there is a triangle formed between your arms and golf grip. You have to swing triangle backwards until your back is turned toward the target.

Do not deliberately try to cock your wrists at any moment, and if your grip pressure is light they will cock naturally towards the end of the backswing. The only thought occupying your mind must be nice smooth rhythm.

3rd Preserves flex the right knee as you reach the top of your backswing, make sure that your right knee has not smoothed. The best way to ensure this does not happen, is that setup at address with a nice bend right knee and tilt it slightly toward the ball. Focus on maintaining active tilt throughout the swing.

4th The down swing is initiated by your legs. Feel your down swing starts with a slight movement of the left knee towards the target. This will result in club head layer where your wrist is pulled down on the back of the ball while maintaining the full wrist hinge from the top of the backswing. A nice thought to remember is the "butt of the shaft to the back of the ball."

This ensures that you have a slow release, entering the back of the ball and delivers a powerful, crisp output with the ball.

5th Think Rhythm When you swing a golf club, you need to visualize your favorite golf pros swing in your mind and thinking pattern. Try to repeat their rhythm and think of something else. This one swing right will ensure a nice smooth swing and you will start to swing the club naturally and thereby sharply.

So to summarize develop a consistent pre shot routine that includes squares adjustment, a couple of waggles and light grip pressure. Swing triangle back with a light grip pressure and turn its back on target. Start slow with the leaders of your legs and finish the swing in balance.

The single biggest swing just to focus on is the "rhythm".

Do this and stop breaking a natural motion down into its components. You will be delighted at how consistently you begin to strike the ball for every club in the bag.
