Tips for creating small business ecommerce websites

Creating a website is your first step towards the lucrative world of e-commerce. But, clichés such as "build it ... they will" not be good in the ecommerce arena. You have to build the plant in such a way that it attracts visitors. Here are some tips that may help you while building a website for your commerce venture.
1. Format your text using CSS.Cascading Style Sheets, is the way to use one style sheet and motivate how text performs throughout your site. Make a second style sheet and your entire site is updated. It makes life easier. To keep things simple and consistent is the best way to go.
2. Make font size large enough to read.
Customers are your goals, even the oldest or a group of teenagers looking for shoes or something, it's never a good idea to use tiny type. It need not be huge, usually note a point, larger type is better than small. 12-pt Verdana is better than 8-pt Verdana.
3. Make the text contrast with the background.
Contrast is better. Black-on-white or white-on - black are examples of the high contrast you can set. You can use many colors, if you will, but if you squint at the page and enter your text virtually disappears, there is not enough contrast.
4. Give the lines room to breathe.
Avoid stack lines on top of each other. Using the line-spacing directive in CSS and provide the space, I will often set line-spacing to 140% of the height of a typical line.
5. Break the text up into chunks.
Make your site's content more flexible one stomach it would be easy for customers. No matter how good a writer you are, but people do not want to waste any more time in endless pages of text, they will be annoyed. Then break it up by using headlines that reflect the subject of item to follow so people can scan down to the parts that really interest them, or use bulleted lists to change the pace of the writing and slow down the scan it does not take a lot of time .
