How to Fertilize Bonsai Trees

Bonsai trees, like all other living things need food to survive. In contrast to the roots of ordinary trees, which grow further distances seeking food, roots bonsai trees is controlled to grow inside the hill and therefore they will be able to get just what nutrient is present in the soil inside the drawer. Therefore the soil in the tray to be frequently re-furnished with apt amount of nutrients.

The procedure for adding nutrients to the soil where the plants grow is called "Fertilizing '& it is an important part of bonsai tree care. Of nutrients in the fertilizer will support the bonsai tree to produce its own food through a procedure called "Photosynthesis". The size and type of fertilizer to be fit for bonsai tree care is mainly dependent on conditions such as:

* Variety of bonsai tree

* How old is bonsai tree

* Time of year when the bonsai is fertilized

The basic nutrients in fertilizer are nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, mixed in different shares for different fertilizers. You must use fertilizer throughout the development season of the tree, starting early spring to mid autumn. Indoor trees may be fertilized around. It is advisable to use larger quantities of fertilizers regularly (like once in two weeks) for young trees, and keep reducing the amount and number of repetition as the tree matures.

To give proper bonsai tree care, in no way over-fertilize. Manure results in the burning of roots and leaves. Roasted roots are not competent enough to absorb water from the earth and convey it to the different parts of the bonsai tree. Because of over-fertilizing, water plant continued until the water flowing into the sewer hole and let it decompose. Then water it again. This procedure is known as leaching and will help to get rid of excess fertilizers.

Things to remember:

* At all times water bonsai tree earlier to add fertilizer.

* Endeavor to use a water soluble fertilizer.

* Under no circumstances fertilize a sick plant until it has been growing healthily.

* Even if it is a development season, do not add fertilizer to an inactive outdoor bonsai until it shows signs of development. If it is indoors, you can add fertilizer less frequently as once a month.

With apt bonsai tree care, by injecting the right amount of fertilizer at the right panel you will be able to grow and maintain a healthy bonsai tree.
