Lindsay Lohan is not broke

Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan's representative has slammed reports that the actress has gone bankrupt.

Sources had claimed the 'Mean Girls' star was threatened with eviction after struggling to pay her rent. Her landlord allegedly served her a legal notice, asking Lohan to pay up or vacate her rented apartment in Los Angeles.

The 23-year-old actress had fallen two months behind and was forced to pay $23,000 to stay, reported Sun online.

But her representative denied that any such thing happened, saying, "They are absolutely untrue. Lindsay can afford to pay her rent. She's just finished a movie, Machete, which will be out soon."

She also added that Lohan still owns her own house in Los Angeles but can't face living there since it was burgled last year. She prefers her rented apartment instead.

"She has been renting the apartment because she feels safer and gets less hassle there," she said.
