Your Success Depends on Your Intentions

Are your intentions honorable?! An ancient questions from prospective fathers-in-law - and one that is at the heart of whether you can achieve the success that you want out of life. With regard to the purpose for success, we know what we intend to come. The truth is, most people have no idea what will give them peace of mind, satisfaction and happiness. Many believe that "enough" money will do the trick, but the record shows that when people have their definition of just enough change - enough to become "more". As John Lennon said, money will not buy you love - it will not buy you happiness and satisfaction. These are the priceless things that can only be found within.

So first and foremost, you must have concrete intentions in relation to what success means to you - make sure that your mind is focused on a sustainable outcome that is related to the whims of ordinary lives. You have to spend some time reflecting on your priorities. Like many before you, you may find that your priorities are simply not coincide with the way you go through every day. If, like most people who participated in surveys about goals and objectives, your priorities in life center around happy, fun, health and friendship, the truth is that these same people spend their days focusing on "making a living" to the extent that they never achieve their dreams. So first things first, you get some perspective on what is really and truly turns you on.

Of course some people already have very clear ideas about what they want out of life and work hard to achieve those goals. But if you work hard your intentions are all wrong. Hard work, like beauty, is in the mind of the beholder! The hard work put in by those who find it difficult, or a chord or a review to be postponed for financial gain. Even the most mundane job in the world is not hard if you're in the right frame of mind. In other words related to your intention or your intentions to your state of mind.

Unfortunately, the so-called normal state of mind skewed towards wasting much of his energy to think useless thoughts like "I hate my job." If you are in this mindset, it does not matter how hard you try, you will never be a success because the vast majority of your mental energy goes to "I do not like this job" instead of just getting on with it. The same mental processes are at stake when you feel inadequate, insecure, shy, or fed up (make up your own list is pretty long for the normal person!) - Our energy is poured into a black hole of useless thought with the result that there is very little energy left to do whatever it is that you should do. Research puts your available energy of only 1% (maybe "only" is too mild a word) of your total energy that the vast majority disappeared into that black hole.

Of course, you rarely know that you are wasting your energy. OK, maybe Monday morning be a particular black spot for many ordinary people, and they will be aware that there is not in top mental condition. But for most of the time, we are simply not aware that we are swirling down the drain - because most of our energy is used up by our subconscious mind. And your subconscious is pretty important - it is the part of your mind that believes it knows what is happening, it is the part of your mind, giving you act appropriately in the perceived situation. But ordinary people's actions are rarely appropriate. In fact, they seldom actions at all - they are reactions. And these reactions are dictated by outdated "hidden knowledge" that the subconscious mind has become obsesses with since your formative years. In other words, when it comes to your subconscious mind, your intentions are anything but honest - your intentions are virtually non-existent when it comes to the realities of today. And if you do not get your head in gear with reality in the moment, you are simply going to waste your time working hard for the rest of your life.

You need to fully do what you do now. This is the moment where you can change your life - thoughts about the future will not do it, dwelling on the past takes us back in the direction of the aforementioned black hole! Actually - scientific fact that there is - there is only here and now, and if you are not present here and now, you is not living at all. To overcome the wayward self-destructive intentions of your subconscious, you need to pour more than 1% of your energy into what you should do now. When it happens to be a job you think you do not like, stop thinking that useless tanks - just engross yourself in the task at hand. Use all your senses - see, feel, hear, smell and taste the job. If you're doing something repetitive, playing a game with yourself - managing your moves, compete against the clock, whatever engrosses you in the task. OK, it's a trick - but your mind has played a trick on you all of your adult life - time to turn the tables!

And if you really, really hate what you are doing - nothing will change until you do something about it. - Just engross yourself in the task in hand.

One way or another, it is up to you to make a real effort - something that will not come naturally to you before you start captivating yourself in the here and now. This is the first real action you must take, you have got to have your way straight - you have to life today as if you mean it.
