Bollywood box office report of the week

This week is going to be a very important one for the ?Shotgun' Sinha family as it will see the debut of Poonam and Shatrughan Sinha's son Luv. The film in question is the Raj Kanwar directed, SADIYAAN. Giving company to SADIYAAN will be the Dimple, Nana and Shetty starrer, TUM MILO TO SAHI, and the delayed THE GREAT INDIAN BUTTERFLY (English). Unfortunately none of the three releases are expected to make much of an impact! The performance of all the new releases of last Friday was quite disheartening. And it has nothing to do with the quality of the movies, rather it is the ?well known by now' villain IPL, which is presently the favourite entertainment viewing choice of the nation! Comparatively speaking Arshad Warsi's maiden production venture HUM TUM AUR GHOST fared the best while the Shyam Benegal directed WELL DONE ABBA started slowly but showed signs of a pick up over the weekend, at good cinemas. The rest of the films, namely MITTAL V/S MITTAL, PREM KAA GAME and MY FRIENDS GANESHA 3 had extremely poor openings in India. In the Overseas, HUM TUM AUR GHOST grossed a so-so £32,298 in the UK.
