Most Hated Airline Fee

Many passengers have realized that by separating ticket fees so they do not include all the "free" services offered in the past that this helps the airlines to continue to offer cheap flights and cheap holiday packages. But many of the same leaflets believe that the explosion of additional fees have gotten out of hand and certain fees should be waived.

The most hated fee is the one some airlines charge customers only to select their seat assignment. 52 percent of travelers taking a 2,000 person poll by airfarwatchdog.com placed this fee as the most unacceptable.

Currently only a few U.S. airlines that passengers pay to choose a seat on a flight. The concern for many is that other carriers in their endless hunt for more revenue, may follow smaller airlines lead in this area.

Many major U.S. airlines are already charging for what is considered the most desirable Economy seats, including the exit aisle and bulkhead seats.

Customers often understand that certain benefits offered by the airlines does entail additional costs such as meals, handling checked baggage and even change the planned dates.

Allocation of seats that can be done online without transaction costs to airlines is not a fee typically flies can understand. Airlines that care about their customers' perception of them would be wise to think twice about the issue of fees for services that add no additional cost to the airline.

Ticket change fees mentioned in the poll with 33 percent of respondents as the second most hated fee. Given that change fees generally range between $ 100 to $ 150 for all tickets, although tickets costing as little as $ 40, it is easy to understand why this charge disturbs travelers forced to change their travel plans.
