Easy Homemade Gifts

Birthstone Angel Pin

Follow our simple instructions to make a unique wire birthstone angel pin for yourself or a special friend, a nice present to perform or bear for Christmas as well.

Material:

26 gauge brass wire

Cart election

White pearl pearl

Gold seed beads (approx. 12)

Pin attachment

Glue (E6000 or Goop Crafters)

Needle Nose Pliers

To:

Wrap wire around your fingers (I used 3 fingers), about eight times to form the body.

Repeat the first step, but wrap wire around your fingers a little tighter, making only about three wraps around to create wings.

You should now have wire oval shape, about a half inches high to the body and around one and a quarter inches for the wings.

Referring to the picture detail, feed one end of the body wire up through a bead and pull your bead into the center of your wire form. Twist your oval shape to form as a number eight (8). Hold the bead in a circle of eight molds and turning the wire tight (only one twist) to fit around your bead.

Attach the bead to the wire on his back, by packet wire piece (which you used to wire bead) around the body shape and twist the other end of the body wire, in the same area. Use needle nose pliers to make the wire twist easily.

Once again, twist your wing shape to a number eight shape and twist the two ends of the cable from the wing shape around the body, to ensure the wings to the body section. Be sure to tuck all your wire transmitter in the neck.

To create halo, thread about 12 seed beads in a piece of wire, twist together to create a circle of beads and secure to the body section of the angel with the two cable ends from the bead wire.

Gently pull the loop body parts (keep a finger in the loop to keep from squeezing the ends) and wings in a range format.

Glue a rhinestone on the front of the Angel (see photo for location) and a pin connection to the back of the angel. These additions help to hide the tangled pile of wires under.
