The 3 Steps To Achieve Correct Cholesterol Levels

Correct cholesterol can be achieved - if you follow three simple steps. Cholesterol is a type of fat formed in the liver and is essential for life. But when out of balance, they may be - life-threatening.

Step 1) know what your cholesterol level should be correct and that there are different types of cholesterol - LDL & HDL

Start testing your cholesterol - if you have no risk factors - men aged 40 to women - aged 50th

If you have any risk factors, ask your doctor what your correct cholesterol level should be and when to start having them tested. Test your cholesterol will help you understand the steps necessary to maintain proper cholesterol levels.

Step 2) Understand the difference between foods that have cholesterol - (such as eggs, meat and dairy products), and many times can be eaten with little or no increase in your cholesterol.

And foods that increase cholesterol - (as hardened vegetable, Palm and Coconut oils). These types of fats found in fast food & pre-packaged snacks. Do as saturated fats - they RAISE Low-density lipoprotein (LDL)

LDL - is on the low-density lipoprotein HDL & the High-density lipoprotein. Both are necessary for life. LDL delivers cholesterol to the blood and HDL removes it. Too much LDL or "Bad" cholesterol or too little HDL or "good" cholesterol - or a combination of both can lead to serious health issues such as: heart attacks and strokes.

Step 3) What you can do to reduce your cholesterol:

If you smoke - quit! - Not only will that help balance your cholesterol, but also reduce blood pressure.

Eat more foods with omega-3 fatty acids - such as fish, poultry (without skin), lean meat, vegetables, fruit and low fat dairy products. If you really want to be sure - add omega 3 - fish oil capsules to your daily routine.

Get some exercise, you do not join a gym or buy an expensive work-out machine - you will most likely never use. Just take a walk!

Start with a 30 minute walk each morning and increase it to 60 minutes once you are able. Walking is a great exercise! Do it every day - it works!

If all you do is change by:

add a walk

a salad every lunch

avoid snacks

Within a few weeks you should see correct cholesterol levels in your test. If there is no improvement. (Remember your body produces most of your cholesterol). You must add something else.

It will leave you with a HUGE choice: either drugs or supplements. Drugs to lower cholesterol, but you can experience some truly devastating side effects.

Cholesterol busting supplement the work is often more effective than drugs and without side effects.

Do a little research and you will soon understand the value of supplements when it comes to balancing cholesterol.

But there must be to be a commitment on your part to improve your health. Apply these steps, you add a "cholesterol-busting 'supplement to your diet and see how real cholesterol levels become the norm for you.
