Incorporating Animation in Kids Education

We have come far in recent decades with regard to our knowledge, experience and thoughts about the potential of information technology to enhance young children's development. The world we live in is changing rapidly and in education are experiencing these changes at an even faster pace. The impact of technology on children's education has been fantastic. Even more impressive is the growth in use of multimedia in the child's education, which has accelerated in recent years and looks to continue its expansion in the future. When IT products were introduced in the early 1980s, the debate centered on the question: "Are computers good for small children?" In those days, there were two schools of thought. While the majority considered computers as a solution to many problems in education, a few expressed concern about the presumed effects.

Since then. By adopting the different technological tools that were available, we have been able to increase the size of their education, children retain Kids' Learning has moved out of the box ever since e-learning revolutionized the education system. With e-learning, children can get past learning to the test and learn for fun. Thus, over the years, more and more e-learning tools have been created to provide more entertaining and interactive way to learn. Such a creation is Animation.

But what role does animation play in their children's education? Why should we believe it so potentially useful?

Animation creates a lasting impression on the memory of the viewer - and this is the most valuable reason for its popularity. Actually doing animation learn more informative, engaging, and works well for children. All these elements provide a great platform for kids to learn some basic yet valuable experience in their early childhood. It has been established that the animated e-learning materials are good to use in educating young minds. Animated characters are big, colorful and action-oriented and are accompanied by funny sound effects. All these together make interest, spice, and lots of surprise. Apart from being great to see animation helps in getting a message across that sometimes words, sounds or even video alone can not.

Some of the main advantages to using multimedia and animation to create an effective e-learning materials for their kid's education is:

• Animation - calls and keep the kids attention better and longer

• Videos - stimulates the visual senses to promote interaction

• Sound - stimulates the auditory senses like music.

Today's children are far more integrated with technology than previous generations. They are always curious about new things and tend to learn faster, especially if the method is fun and entertaining. Flash animated e-learning solutions help to arouse curiosity among children and encourages them to understand the contents of any subject easier. Children can be kept interested in educational issues, if it contains high quality flash animation and interactive 3D animation is even better for this purpose. Therefore, 3D animation is commonly used in education, especially to recruit and train young minds, increase the level of motivation and thus support the progression of normal academic standards.

As more and more parents are starting to use computers in their homes, there is a growing acceptance of the belief that a well animated and aesthetically designed e-learning material can serve to enhance, not to supplement, children's education. Thus we see that the animation holds enormous potential for teaching, and it has been proven time and again to be a truly useful tool. But like any other animation tool is only useful when it is needed. We shall only use animation when it serves a clear purpose. Children of all ages are highly susceptible and easily influenced by things they visualize. If they are stimulated by the animation in a very young age, they may develop attention deficiency problems that will affect their learning ability and in their later years. These days there are many companies offering animated e-learning materials are more concerned about being popular among children, but at the expense of over-stimulating young minds.

Columbus, Ohio-based Cybernation, Inc. is a company that has recognized this problem and that is why they have developed a special appearance and motion, which is unique and specially designed to help children stay focused on their learning, without over- stimulate young minds.
