The Future of Windows Mobile

In the early days of mobile phones with new smart phones on the market, most of them worked on Simian OS (Nokia and Ericsson) and Palm OS. Later, Blackberry and Windows Mobile came on stage. Windows Mobile Microsoft has used the same strategy they used to MS Windows, because this system supports a lot of different entities that are not specific to one producer. For this reason, this platform is very popular, many of the applications were created for. But Microsoft did not work hard to develop this system. As a result, now it is losing its positions for the phone and Android. Will ultimately result in a complete abolition of the Windows Mobile scene? Most likely that will not happen. Let's take a look at the strong points of Windows Mobile, which should help themselves afloat.

Many professionals still opt for Windows Mobile, because they prefer its simple interface, easy on the environment crowded iPhone and Android. Besides, Windows Mobile supports a wide range of different configurations phone as phones with physical buttons, touch-screen phones, the ones that both physical buttons and touch-screen together. iPhone does not offer that flexibility in the choice and there are not many Android devices, the hard buttons. Many younger readers may laugh at my old method, but in reality it is not just a matter of habit, that will really make a lot of writing keyboard much more useful than on-screen counterpart to find. The many different configurations of Windows Mobile phones are not limited to the keyboard, except the standard "candy bar" configuration flip phones, slider phones, vertical and horizontal layout and many other features.

Of course the user interface is not the only strong point of Windows Mobile. The main advantage is the best system compatibility with MS Windows. PCs running Microsoft Windows, most of the computer market. And that was created by the same developer, Windows Mobile has the best compatibility with MS Windows on all mobile platforms. Maybe competition can result in Windows Mobile loses all its other advantages, but will never change. One result of this compatibility is the ability to run Windows Mobile phone as a wireless modem for laptop or desktop computer. For me, it's so good that just this feature alone is enough for me not to nag to think about switching to another platform (those who travel a lot and often have access to the Internet will understand me).

Let us focus on the future. By the end of 2010, it is expected that Microsoft Windows Mobile 7 Release For the first time in the history of this system is totally the way Microsoft has designed the new and old versions from scratch. And according to reports, the new interface seems to keep pace with competitors in every sense. Are well developed, yet simple and clear structure is appealing to many. Let's see what new technical capabilities of the system will have. One of the functions hitherto known is a chance for life to work. So that, unlike the current situation where in most cases to buy a new phone to get updated to the latest version of Windows Mobile, will be done online updates working like in PCs.

Finally, let us give an example, which is not part of Windows Mobile, but only works with this platform. Sprite Backup software is only available for Windows Mobile, allowing them to do a full backup of phone memory. This backup includes a full system scan image and all user data. So if anything goes wrong, you just go back to the state by running the backup file. The backup file is self extracting, so no computer is needed. You can also delete all user data and installed programs to a new phone. To me, this is very handy and I have not heard of similar software for the iPhone or Android.

As you can see, Windows Mobile still has a lot of advantages, at least for some categories of users. Of course, its competitors hard, but I think all existing platforms will find their users.
