international actor irrfan khan

Irrfan Khan, popular for his serious and comic roles in Bollywood, is increasingly making inroads into the Western world with projects such as A Mighty Heart, Slumdog Millionaire and even an American TV show. He admits to being an international player gives him a high.

"It is always an internal desire for each player to reach the maximum audience. I'm lucky that the Western world chose me to play roles in their movies and television, no matter what language it might be. It will certainly give you a high to become an international player with quality work, Irrfan said.

His first international film was the London-based director Asif Kapadia's The Warrior. Irrfan played a leading role in the film which was shot in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan. Published in 2001, was The Warrior applauded at international film festivals and made Irrfan a familiar face in the global arena.

In recent times, star of the 48-year-old was seen in international projects such as Angelina Jolie, A Mighty Heart (2007) and Hollywood venture The Darjeeling Limited in the same year. He got a role in British director Danny Boyle has several award-winning film Slumdog Millionaire, and also works in Jennifer Chambers Lynch's hiss.

He is now set to feature in U.S. TV show in therapy.

Apart from his overseas ventures, Irrfan has a lot of interesting Hindi films in hand. Currently, he is ready for the release of Right Yaaa Wrong, produced by Subhash Ghai.

Irrfan said he had to get used about films that are doomed to be released on Friday.

"I had to unlearn to act and act like a real man behind the tragic situations in life in this police officer has to go against his best friend to arrest him. I learned to go through heavy dramatic emotions with controlled calm. Each scene was an issue for me as an actor, "he said.

Thriller revolves around two officers - Ajay Shridhar (Sunny Deol) and Vinay Patnaik (Irrfan). Their intense rivalry leads them on a struggle for supremacy.

Previously, Irrfan played a cop in films like Rog, Slumdog Millionaire, Gunaah and New York.

Asked why he decides to take this role, Irrfan said: "I like challenging roles. Playback of a policeman is boring, but playing a man in a cop uniform with complex emotions were hard. That was the reason to accept this well defined role. "
