1) Write down the number of people you expect on this day. Your family, friends, neighbors, business associates, colleagues, all that you expect, or those you have invited. Do not forget to include those who may come along with them (children, girlfriends, boyfriends). This list will help narrow down the amount of prepared food needs.
2) It's the holiday potluck to have common or customary courts for things to remain traditional. But to add to developed new menu is not a bad idea. It's actually a brilliant idea! Select a specific menu you plan to have for dinner and to inform the expected guests on it. Try to look for a choice that you think everyone will appreciate.
3) Make things easier by emailing the selected menu for the expected guests coming. Also ask what the dish into the selected menu they are planning to bring over. Some are nice enough to volunteer to bring several dishes. A family might even bring more than expected.
It would also be easier if they could tell you the food they have plans to bring the good time to avoid that customers bring the same kind. Then set deadlines. Inform them of the expected number of guests who come to this day for them to know the quantity of food they will be preparing.
4) An extra hand is always useful in the preparation of a successful Thanksgiving potluck, so do not hesitate to ask. You could probably just ask the nearest you or to any charge at this time to go to your house earlier, and give you a hand.
It is much more fun to have a person who accompanies you instead of having no one to help you out. This will make tasks easier and faster to perform, plus you also have the opportunity to bond with each other more. Several things you can be thankful for.
5) Show prepared potluck at a table big enough for all dishes. Arrange it as how a buffet is done to let this appetite is growing. Make sure everything is good. Potluck is best eaten when self-served, especially when it's Thanksgiving.
Encourage everyone to eat. Start by digging into yourself. But of course not forget to say grace beforehand. Let us be reminded of what Thanksgiving really means. So nothing is left but to have fun with Thanksgiving potluck. Happy Thanksgiving!
