Mohali Women Has Swine Flu

A 26-year-old woman from Mohali, who was admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, on Monday, tested positive for H1N1 influenza on Tuesday. This has taken the number of confirmed swine flu cases in city’s hospitals to five. The patient will be kept in isolation for mandatory seven days.Sources said the woman had been working in Singapore for the past two-and-a half-years and had returned to meet her parents staying in Mohali. UT nodal officer for swine flu, HC Gera, said Mohali health officials had been told to quarantine her family members. Also, a 14-year-old Malaysia-return boy from Panchkula, admitted in GMCH-32 on Monday over suspicion of swine flu, tested negative for the infection.
