The Discerning Effect Of Gladness

Joy is a noun ... it is the name of the condition to be happy. Therefore, that word has a certain feeling of being clean of it, like the purity of snow. Etymology of the word joy is "smooth" and "brilliant." It actually made us think about what it must have been in the early 1st century church, when it was said that they "ate together with glad and sincere hearts." (Acts 2:46). In the Bible, there are 53 references to be happy or 'joy'. It can be defined as: 1 full of humor and brightness 2nd have a cheerful disposition of nature; 3rd

expressive of, characterized by, or as a result of joy and happiness 4th experiencing joy, pleasure and delight: made happy, made happy, delighted and grateful-often used with at times: very willing. Wisdom teaches Qoheleth in the Old Testament taught, "I recommend to enjoy life, because nothing else is good for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be merry."(Ecclesiastes 8:15) I think oftentimes we do not really appreciate the simple welcome food as we can, but when we are invited to a dinner or lunch, there is a true and genuine sense of looking forward to it most of us.

Now, it is a sign of simple joy. What a sudden flash of thundering truth is this happening? The true joy pervades. We received an email recently from my church, and we read with pleasure the very joy of a pastor to see all the great and wonderful Ministry of God that surrounds him. Well, this is what we read (between the lines actually) as he is to lift one person after another up to the entire e-church-God's Spirit at work. Joy has a certain contagious joy of it. It is full of love, but refuses to be influenced by anything but the best, although it also could see and handle the worst.

we remember an ancient spiritual quote Isaiah "wear a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness." Whatever the circumstances, so long as the smile is there, there is life, pure and simple. Being happy is a simple emotion or feeling, like happiness. And it is in this sense the intrinsic joy that is described by them in the early church, which I think Paul referred to when he prodded the followers of the way to "Do all without justification, and complaining ... being clean and free guilt ... and shine like stars. "(Philippians 2:14-15). There may be no other large collection of specialized fonts, so filled with joy as this.

We could either be happy or do happy yet there is one more primary or deeper joy of disposition. Life is priceless and essential. If joy could bring ourselves only halfway there so we will not automatically be happier? Joy is true and divinely anointed strengthen it. To be happy and able to enjoy simple happiness in life for what they are, not trying so hard. This is the real secret of God's grace, and we allow His love that never condemns enter into our consciousness, and we through the Spirit who creates joy for disposition; happiness ... which brings us peace and other virtues.
