India offers yoga and Ayurveda expertise to Sweden!

Inaugurating the Indo-Swedish health week, to be observed from February 1 to 5, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad calls upon Sweden to offer India’s expertise in yoga and Ayurveda. n his statement he said, “Sweden may also find Ayurveda and yoga to be quite useful and beneficial in the public health area.” He further expects that joining hand with Sweden in developing health infrastructure in India, greater investment can be expected particularly in the fields of diagnostics and pharmaceuticals. Apart from this the two countries are also expected to make the collaboration in six more common areas like anti-microbial resistance, pharmaceuticals, medical research, health policy research, alcoholism prevention and adolescent health.
