Welcome to Recipes Indian!

Indian food has existed for at least 2500-3000 years and it has changed much through the years. Using a variety of herbs and spices make each dish unique. Each different region in India is known for its wide selection of different recipes and Indian cooking and tastes. Although about one third of the population is strictly vegetarian, there are many different dishes containing chicken, lamb and goat meat. In India the cow is conceived as a sacred animal therefore you will not find many recipes including beef. Food is such an important part of Indian culture, as in most cultures, and plays an important role in family life and in festival celebrations. Most families in India still sit down together to enjoy their meals together. There are a few main dishes and they are usually served with various pickles, chutney, and of course various types of Indian bread called "roti". There is also usually a dessert served as well. Indian cooking has many different styles throughtout all of India. For that matter, there really is not an accepted style of Indian cuisine but rather many different styles. So if you travel to India, you will discover that the food prepared by the people and restaurants in the area will be different in each area. Naturally there will be some similarities, but it will also be very different from place to place. Indian Recipes We have collected many delicious Indian recipes from all over India. Indian Cooking Recipe: Quick Pizza

Ingredients:

For the dough:

200 GMS Maida

2 level tsp baking powder

2 tsp oil

½ teaspoon salt

For topping:

4 large tomatoes

2 sliced onions

4 cloves garlic, crushed

2 pinch of again or ½ teaspoon oregano

1 teaspoon sugar

½ teaspoon chili powder

1 tbsp oil

salt to taste

Of spread and Cooking:

1 GMS grated cheese cooking

a couple of capsicum rings

salt and chili powder to taste

oil for frying

little butter

Method:

Combine together all the ingredients:: in the dough and make a dough by adding water.

Put the tomatoes in hot water for about 10 minutes.

Remove skin and sliced them.

Heat oil and fry onions for 2 minutes.

Add garlic and fry again for a few seconds.

Add tomato slices, again, sugar, chili powder and salt and cook for a few minutes.

How we proceed:

Divide the dough into 4 to 5 equal parts.

Roll about 6 mm. (¼ ") chapattis and a little dick.

Heat 1 to 2 tablespoons oil in a skillet.

Put 1 Chapati on the forehead, and when they are cooked on one side, turn on the other side. Spread a little filling and sprinkle lots of cheese on top.

Put a couple of capsicum rings, dot with butter, sprinkle salt and chili powder and cook for 2 minutes.

Then put under the grill until the cheese melts.

Repeat the same procedure for the remaining chapatis.

Ready to serve.
