World Vegetarian Day - What I Have Learned at the Festival

World Vegetarian Day - what I've learned at the festival

When it comes to the benefits of going vegan, the annual World Vegetarian Day festival not be ignored. It has played a significant role in raising awareness of vegetarianism among people throughout the world. There are at least three things that we should have learned on that day.Specifically, the health, humanitarian and environmental benefits of becoming vegetarian, the things that vegetarians can do to promote vegetarianism consciousness and what omnivores can do in this regard. We will go deep into each item in this article, you will begin to lead and help others to lead a healthier lifestyle after reading it.

Regarding the humanitarian and environmental benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle is concerned, there are some shocking figures that we should know. The first is that 800 million chickens are killed each year in Britain. They are life and a part of nature too. They do not deserve to be slaughtered. The second number, which I will share is that it takes 200 times of water to produce one kilo of beef than potatoes of similar weight. Just imagine how much water can be saved if we eat more plant-based foods than meat.

The third figure is that 60% of coarse grains consumed in the world used to feed animals. But there are still millions of people suffering from famine. As vegetarians can do to improve the vegetarian consciousness? There are many things vegetarians can do. You can start by inviting friends and family to a vegetarian meal and discussion about vegetarianism. It is also convenient to distribute posters to pedestrians on the street. Through the process of helping others, you can also win the confidence of the vegetarian lifestyle you lead.

As omnivores can do on the World Vegetarian Day? If you are not vegetarian, so you can show your support and gratitude for what vegetarians do, by giving them hugs and help them with what they do and even go vegan for a day on this day. The more people involved in this festival are healthier world will be. Now that you understand the importance of World Vegetarian Day, and what you can do as a vegetarian or non-vegetarian, it's your turn to get ready for the special festival next year. See you on the next 1st October.
