Is It Safe to Continue Breastfeeding While Nipples are Sore

Breastfeeding your baby is a source of great joy, especially after all the stress you've been through pregnancy and birth-giving. But the pain of sore nipples making breastfeeding a terrible thing for some mothers.

Nipples having a feeling of swelling, painful, hard and feverishly is what breastfeeding mothers complain about most of the time when breastfeeding. Sore nipples should not stop you from giving the best nutrition for your baby, and it is your mother's milk. What you need to do is look for ways that will help you solve your problems with sore nipples and continue breastfeeding.

It is always safe to continue breastfeeding even while the nipples are sore. Just make sure that the treatments you use for your sore nipples are safe and not harmful to you and your baby.

There are different ways how you can pamper your sore nipples while you safely continue breastfeeding the child. Herbal remedy for a case that is effective yet safe. These herbs have proven to not only treat sore nipples, but also help to produce smooth and uninterrupted flow of breast milk. Soaking the nipples of hot water with basil or letters will stimulate rapid healing, but be sure to wash your chest, especially the nipples before breastfeeding.

Other treatment of sore nipples, is the use of creams. Lanolin (100 cotton and always choose those that are not too tight because tight bras will make your milk channel clogged.

If your nipples are sore and painful because of breastfeeding, never choose to stop or interrupt breastfeeding for a while because it will only exacerbate the problem and give you even more trouble later. Just choose the right solutions to relieve aches and pains in your nipples and then give your baby to latch on to the baby's better physically and mentally.
