Dipika trains at the ICL-TNSRA Academy at Chennai under Cyrus Poncha and Major (rtd) S. Maniam. She has played three times for the country in the seniors tournaments and six in the juniors. According to the WISPA website, Dipika's ambition is to be ranked world number 1, while her hobbies include listening to music and surfing the Internet. Dipika, who is as popular for her looks as for her achievements so far on the squash courts, has been given offers to star in Tamil movies, but has refused them for the moment as she wants to focus on squash.
