Crime At Academy Awards Gangster Movie Outguns Little Miss Sunshine

Hollywood returned to the type at the Academy Awards this year, presenting his Oscar for best picture for a gangster movie, while passing that rare production, a charming, if offbeat, some innocent merriment, Little Miss Sunshine.

Of course there were factors. The members of the Academy felt it was high time to at least one Oscar to be assigned to one of its all-time leading directors of the lucrative gangster genre.

Yet it was a sad story, and the fact that a crime watch Little Miss Sunshine robbed of gold for zany entertainment, where we note, no gun was fired.

We can not help but think it would have been better for Mr. Scorsese a Lifetime Achievement Award, and let the Oscar for best picture goes to the sunny side of the street.

In this violence-weary world, the loss was enough to wish the girl would be Little Miss Sunshine jumped on stage, and as protest, was a repeat of the amazing strip her grandfather taught her how to do - and , for his performance, won by Alan Akin, the award for Best Supporting Actor.
