Tips On Starting An Online Business From Scratch

"Justin, if you take away everything you've ever done online, and had to start from scratch, what would you do first?"

I get this question a lot, so I decided to write about it. Although there are many strategies that I love, and many strategies that I am good, there is no doubt that my focus will be on a few selected things that if I had to start again.

What are these things?

Nothing is too hard, just a few basic marketing principles, and more than likely something you've heard ...

The first thing I would do my market decide. (I actually know what the market will I go, but for the sake of this article, it would be my first step). The next thing I would do is put together a plan to create a squeeze page (also known as a page or leads to get an opt-in page) up and running as quickly as possible.

To do this, I would have a domain and a hosting account. I would defect to bluehost.com and buy one years worth of hosting, because it comes with a free domain. When I got my hosting account up and running, I'd do a search for a free report with giveaway rights that I could offer in exchange for someone else's name and e-mail.

Then I get a free web editor called Composer and build my squeeze page. So I would walk over to aweber.com and an auto responder account to close, you must define a form on my site, and upload to the web with half free piece of software called Flotilla.

Now that my squeeze page set up, I would go and find Clickbank.com a related product that I can promote as an affiliate. So I would write a handful of convincing e-mails aimed at the affiliate product to sell, and add them to my follow-up auto responder series in my account.

At this point I now have a fully functional lead generation system in place that is designed to capture and sell to subscribers. The cool thing is that all this can be done in just a few hours ...

I would then to my attention as much traffic as possible to squeeze page. How do I drive more traffic, more subscribers I get, the more sales I make. Depending on my marketing budget will I register and start an ad words PPC (pay per click) campaign to get some traffic to my website.

When I was a couple of PPC campaigns, set up, I will develop an article marketing strategy and commit to comply. The reason I would start with articles, because they can be reused for many different things, that the traffic back to my website. For example, an article for press releases, videos, pod casts and blog posts.

The more content you have created and produced, the more traffic you will have and the more traffic you have, well ... you know the rest of the story.
